Exchange and internship opportunities

IFMSA

The International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA), founded in 1951, is one of the oldest and largest student organizations in the world. It unites, inspires and engages over 1.3 million students from 133 National Medical Associations in 123 countries.

IFMSA gathers people to exchange experiences, to discuss and create new projects that make the world healthier. The Federation gives its members the skills and means to be leaders in medicine and public health. It raises problematic issues that are important for creating the world we want to live in. She makes a real difference: her projects, campaigns and other activities have a positive impact on future doctors and the communities in which they work.

IFMSA coordinates two types of exchange programs: for professionals and researchers. Both programs are supported by the following organizations: World Federation of Medical Education (WFME), World Organization of Family Physicians (WONCA), Federation of European Neurophysiological Organizations (FENS), European Society for Emergency Medicine (EuSEM), World Federation of Societies of Anesthesiologists (WFSA), International Pediatric Association (IPA) and the World Psychiatric Association (WPA).

More information about the work of the Federation can be found on the website https://ifmsa.org/

The official representative of IFMSA in Russia is the National Union of Medical Students. Every year, about 40-50 people from Samara State Medical University participate in exchanges under the IFMSA program, respectively, the same number of foreigners come to us.

Direct contracts

At different times, Samara State Medical University signed contracts on international cooperation with universities in the following countries: Uzbekistan, Belarus, Macedonia, Germany, France. Exchange programs are carried out in different directions.
